Gipp Recreation Park & Ballfields
The George Gipp Recreation Park is a long-loved community sports area that includes multiple baseball/softball fields along with courts for basketball and tennis, a playground, sand volleyball, horseshoe pits, bocce ball, and open space for pickup games. It serves youth and adult athletes in the warmer months and sits adjacent to the George Gipp Arena, where winter sports take place.
This area provides great space for organized leagues, practices, and casual family play.
Paul Lehto Baseball Diamond
Formerly known as Wolverine Ball Field, this ballfield was renamed the Paul Lehto Baseball Diamond in honor of a local leader and supporter of youth sports. It remains an important home for community baseball and softball activities. Recent township planning has included efforts to upgrade dugouts, fencing, and other field infrastructure to improve the experience for players and spectators alike.
Legion Field of Dreams
Legion Field of Dreams is a community ballfield near North Tamarack Road in Calumet, offering open play space for softball, baseball and other field sports. N Tamarack Rd, Calumet, MI 49913.
Local teams and families enjoy this field for practices, pick-up games, and league play throughout the spring and summer seasons.
Bucky’s Disc Golf Course
Bucky’s DGC is a scenic 18-hole course in Calumet Township that winds through wooded terrain with moderate elevation changes and a variety of hole layouts. Featuring two tee pads and two basket positions per hole (long/short), the course challenges both newer and experienced players. The setting offers a balance of technical and open shots and is free to play.
This course is increasingly popular for casual rounds and friendly competitions. (New and improving)
Calumet Lake Disc Golf Course
At Calumet Lions Park, the Calumet Lake Disc Golf Course is a highly rated 27-hole facility that showcases diverse terrain around Calumet Lake and through mature woods. Multiple tee options, changing basket positions, and thoughtfully designed fairways make this a standout local disc golf destination for players of all skill levels. The course is free to play and includes restrooms and water access points.
The surrounding park also offers picnic areas, walking trails, and scenic lake views. (New mini course coming soon)
Calumet Golf Club
The Calumet Golf Club is a well-established nine-hole public golf course providing a fun and accessible round for golfers of all abilities. The short, regulation-length layout rewards accuracy and thoughtful play. Amenities include a driving range, practice greens, and a clubhouse with casual dining and social space at Jazzy’s Pub & Grille — perfect for relaxing after your round.

Calumet Township New Recreation Park
Calumet Township is currently developing a New Recreation Park on Sixth Street Extension with help from the CLK Rotary Club. Plans include playground equipment (already installed), open spaces, and future multi-use recreation amenities. This site will build on community recreational opportunities and offer a central, visible location for family activities and gatherings.
