Copper Country Curling Club
The Copper Country Curling Club is located in the historic Calumet and Hecla Mining Company's Drill Shop. Formed in 1993, the Curling Club made its home at the Drill Shop in 2005. Through a collaboration between Calumet Township, the Curling Club, and the Keweenaw National Historical Park, the Drill Shop was converted into an ideal location for curling. Members meet for games twice a week during a ten week season. The Curling Club also holds a Learn To Curl program during the curling season for those interested in learning about the sport or wanting to become a member. The Drill Shop can also be rented for events such as weddings.
